How can I make money fast?

I am saving my money for an nintendo DSI and I need to get the money on my own. I know I can do chores and other things for neighbors but What else can I do? I need to make the money fast so list as many ideas as you want.

Are there any legitimate ways to make money online?

I’m not asking for something for nothing here. I know that those sites are scams. Obviously. But I refuse to believe that there are no legitimate sites that actually exchage ‘real payment’ (cash money) for a service to be done for them online in return. Can anyone give me one of these?

How do prisons make money by taking in prisoners?

I hear this a lot around the net and haven’t taken any substantial amount of time to investigate. Do prisons make money off of keeping people behind-bars? I am told by others that prisons couldn’t possibly make money, only lose, please help my clarify this notion.

A government owned prison does not make money, it cost money to operate. This money comes from taxes and from court costs.

A private prison is paid by the government. They are given so much for every prisoner they house.

There are a lot of jobs that don’t require pesky things like; set hours, uniforms, bosses, or IRS forms. Just putting up a notice sheet at the local market can net you a lot of easy jobs.

If you can show up at an agreed upon time, look halfway professional, and speak English well, you will have no trouble taking over as the neighborhood handyman in a senior-heavy area. Once you’re eating and showing a profit, you can even look into getting a work-only mobile phone, business cards, etc etc.

Or you can keep up the "OMG i needz munny rite nowz!" cycle, and be in a financial panic your whole life.

Does anyone make money submitting videos to photo stock companies rather than through youtube?

I have a few videos on youtube that I think would be good ‘stock’ videos, so I’m thinking of taking them off youtube and submitting them to photo stock companies. Fotolia accepts video uploads but only up to one minute (mine are 90 sec to 4 minutes). I spoke to them, but they didn’t seem to optimistic about their video dept. I know selling photos with stock companies is hardly worth it unless you have thousands of images, but do videos ‘hosted’ by photo stock companies ever sell? If so, what’s the best photo stock company to submit videos to? And if it’s not worth the effort, are there any other ways of ‘leasing’ or ‘selling’ rights to videos other than the youtube monetizing system or the schemes you see that offer to give you ‘secrets’ of making money from videos (I doubt any of them are worthwhile)?

I like Shutterstock. As a submitter, you are required to submit samples before they accept your videos but once you are in, you can do pretty good in sales. If you want to make even more in sales, you can isolate the audio in your video, produce marketable sound bites and sell audio files as well.

As far as a secret to making money from videos, there is none. It always comes down to hard work, market research and doing what you love (the biggest secret of all).
